Design a Sign: Holiday Cheer

Express yourself with a custom wood sign that showcases your personal style. Select your design from a stylish stencils or personalize one that’s uniquely you. A master crafter will guide you through this two hour event where you’ll build and paint your one-of-a-kind sign.

Drink & Draw – Holiday Card Making

Drink & Draw becomes Holiday Card Making in the month of December. Local artists and shop owners will help you get into the holiday spirit through hands-on holiday crafting.

 

ICA x YOWIE 3rd Annual Bookshop Pop-Up

The ICA is hosting their 3rd annual ICA x YOWIE Bookshop pop-up at YOWIE! The event will kick off with an opening Happy Hour with Two Robbers on Friday. On Saturday, stop by for a Paper Flowers Workshop with Candy Gonzalez, and then on Sunday, take part in a calligraphy workshop with Kamihira.

The Final Pop Up Market of the Season! Get all your last minute holiday gifts from over 35 participating craft vendors. Enjoy foods by Labarra Empanadas, Cooperage Philly, Hardena/Waroeng Surabaya, and Birdies Biscuits, while you shop. 

 

Artist Reception: Allyson Church

December 14th

Cost: Free

Local artist Allyson Church is a printmaker, quilt enthusiast, and flower farmhand based in Philadelphia. She has exhibited her work across the United States and in Italy. Allyson draws inspiration from dreams, strange and fantastic stories, and traditional crafts. Her love of making things is matched only by her love of gardening. The artist’s work will be on display at The Resource Exchange throughout December.

 

Boozy Button Make & Take

December 20th

In this make-and-take workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to create your very own pin back buttons while enjoying your favorite adult beverages! A variety of art materials (collage, markers, pens, and more!) will be available for you to use. Attendees will be encouraged by Meg to create up to 5 buttons, using their own creative intuition as guidance.
