The Navy Yard Sea Monster, the first collaborative partnership between the Navy Yard and anonymous curators Group X, will be leaving Philadelphia, but not without a proper send off! Join monster artist Filthy Luker for a meet and greet, champagne toast, and countdown to the shutdown of this tentacled friend we’ve come to Instagram and love.

 

HERspace Women’s Art Festival

Experience a one-night visual arts festival exploring ideas and themes of emerging female artists and leading female artists in the Philly area. HERspace will feature over 30 artists of varying mediums, live music, and complimentary refreshments. Come out to support this platform working to generate a lasting connection between artists, arts professionals and art appreciators.

 

Disruption: Poetry & Open Mic at AAMP

Come to the AAMP for an evening of poetry and performance curated by Philadelphia poet and educator, Nina “Lyrispect” Ball. You will hear poetry by Rienne Jahnai, Jacob Winterstein, Evita Colon and Lyrispect, along with dance and vocal performance by Kingsley Ibeneche. Have something of your own to share? An open mic interspersed throughout the night. All performances are designed to  complement AAMP’s current exhibition Cotton: The Soft Dangerous Beauty of the Past.
