Beyond Borders and Binaries: A Conversation and Workshop

Hear from panelists about their lived experiences and their work in countering state violence. The talk will be followed by a bookmaking activity led by the Friends, Peace, and Sanctuary project, in which participants will respond to existing headlines and archival materials to rewrite media narratives.

Across the city, more than 50 vibrant and unique community gardens and shared open spaces will be blooming with exciting activities for all ages — from garden tours, workshops, and demonstrations, to music, kids’ activities and BBQs.

Venture out onto the water in illuminated skiffs built by Philly youth and take in the wonders of the Schuylkill River by moonlight while enjoying sounds by DJ DuiJi 13. Telescopes are available for night sky viewing and refreshments are available as well.
